Health and Social Care is a vocationally-focused AS/A level, which can be studied to gain one of four qualifications depending on the number of units chosen:
- AS level Single Award worth 1 AS level – 3 units
- AS level Double Award worth 2 AS levels – 6 units
- A Level Single Award worth 1 A level – 6 units
- A level Double Award worth 2 A levels – 12 units
There are a variety of different areas that you will focus on throughout the course. The main ones include: Promoting quality care Communication in care settings Promoting health and well being If you are a hard working student who has an enquiring mind, empathy with other people, good research skills, able to manage your own time effectively and work to deadlines then this course will suit you perfectly. The Health and Social Care course will give you several progression routes including further training towards employment and higher education.
